The future of Artificial Intelligence in Gen Z Classrooms

What is Gen Z?
Gen Z is the tech-savvy generation, born with good technology and the internet. They haven’t experienced and imagined life without the internet. They use technology to help them achieve goals as they strive to improve the world around them. This generation is highly collaborative, independent, and tech-oriented. Gen Z is the most technologically accepting generation among all other generations. They are coming up with revolutionary ideas to achieve better results, and their aspirations go beyond self-achievement to address health, social, and climate issues. This generation is aware of the available data and knows how to access and use it purposefully. And when it comes to upgrading their knowledge about any topic/field, they prefer to learn online and show a lot of interest in understanding that field completely. For example, the entrepreneurship generation aims to run a business with a social mission, social empowerment, Youth Empowerment, Climate Change, and Mental Health Awareness. Currently, technology is shaping the behavior, culture, and study methods of Gen Zers.

Gen Z and Artificial Intelligence Classrooms?
Regarding classroom learning, Gen Z focuses on a more hands-on learning experience. To encourage learning, activities must be rooted in what students already know and what they wish to know. Meeting the needs of Gen Z makes a strong case for expanding Artificial Intelligence(AI) into the classroom. Exploring and gaining knowledge of a particular subject, AI alone, is powerful in providing insights into the subject. Because of AI, classroom interactions are changing, making it more efficient to learn and understand the core of a subject. AI-based didactic methods identified for the University of the Future. Besides better learning methods and networking, Gen z is more focused on gaming. And AI tutors enhance the gaming experience making it more interactive and real. One of the didactic methods mentioned developing a learning platform that had elements that help with the motivation of learning, namely gamification of training material. Many traditional algorithms are used in AI-Based Gaming for education purposes. Internet games and video game objectives mostly entertain Zen Z users via interactive systems, which can be accessed via various platforms such as personal computers, consoles, mobile phones, and tablets.

Zen Z craves and thrives in technology-enhanced learning mechanisms. AI meets students within the culture they know, technology, and information-rich culture. The role of professors is enhanced through AI by providing a flexible and content-rich environment and classroom activities which are not limited to time and space constraints.
